The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) invites applications from female candidates for admission to the four-year BSc (Nursing) Course 2025 at its prestigious Colleges of Nursing. Number of Posts

A total of 220 seats are available across six Colleges of Nursing under AFMS for the academic year 2025. The distribution of seats is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the BSc (Nursing) Course 2025 at AFMS, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Gender: Only female candidates who are unmarried, divorced, legally separated, or widows without encumbrances are eligible.
  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
  • Date of Birth: Born between 01 October 2000 and 30 September 2008 (both days inclusive).
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent in the first attempt.
    • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English.
    • Minimum 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a recognized Board/University/Examining Body.
  • NEET (UG) 2025: Candidates must qualify NEET (UG) 2025 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Physical Standards:
    • Minimum Height: 152 cm (147 cm for candidates from Hill and North Eastern States).
    • Weight: As per the Weight for Height Chart (refer to Appendix B below).
    • An allowance of 2 cm growth is provided for candidates below 18 years at the time of examination.
    • Medical fitness will be determined by a Medical Board as per prescribed standards.
  • SC/ST Candidates: Must possess a valid SC/ST certificate issued by a competent authority (not below the rank of 1st Class Magistrate/Tehsildar/Sub Divisional Officer).
  • NCC 'C' Candidates: Candidates with an NCC 'C' certificate must upload it during application.

Selection Process

The selection process for the BSc (Nursing) Course 2025 involves multiple stages:

  1. Shortlisting:

    • Based on NEET (UG) 2025 scores.
    • Shortlisted candidates’ reference numbers will be displayed on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
    • Shortlisted candidates must appear for screening at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt (BHDC).
  2. Screening Process:

    • Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE):
      • Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 40 MCQs (2 marks each, total 80 marks).
      • Duration: 30 minutes.
      • Negative marking: 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer.
    • Psychological Assessment and Interview:
      • Conducted by a Board of Officers at BHDC.
      • Questions may cover core subjects (up to Std XII), general knowledge, current affairs, and personal interests/hobbies.
      • Weightage given for sports achievements and dependents of Serving/ESM/Killed in Action personnel.
    • Document Verification:
      • Candidates must produce original documents listed in the admit card.
      • If originals are unavailable, an original receipt from the institution and an undertaking to produce originals at admission are required.
    • Medical Examination:
      • Conducted by a Special Medical Board (SMB) at BHDC.
      • Candidates declared UNFIT can appeal by paying Rs 40/- and reporting for an Appeal Medical Board (AMB) within 24 hours.
  3. Final Selection:

    • Based on combined merit of NEET (UG) 2025 scores, ToGIGE score, Psychological Assessment, and Interview, subject to medical fitness.
    • College allocation based on merit-cum-choice and available seats.
    • Final merit list published on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

How to Apply

Follow these steps to apply for the BSc (Nursing) Course 2025:

  1. Register Online:

    • Visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in after the declaration of NEET (UG) 2025 results.
    • Register using name, mobile number, email ID, and other details.
    • Upload scanned copies of required documents in the prescribed format.
  2. Application Fee:

    • Rs 200/- (non-refundable) via online payment gateway for all candidates except SC/ST.
    • SC/ST candidates must upload documentary proof.
    • Note the DU number (bank reference number) generated after payment.
  3. Form Submission:

    • Review and edit the application using the EDIT menu before final submission.
    • No corrections allowed after clicking SUBMIT.
    • A provisional registration number (Reference Number) will be generated and sent to the registered email ID.
  4. Printout:

    • Take a printout of the filled application and payment confirmation for reference.
  5. Important Notes:

    • Ensure successful payment (DU number is not sufficient; confirm debit from bank account).
    • Verify all information before submission to avoid disqualification.
    • Regularly check www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and registered email for updates.

  • Online Registration Start: Post-NEET (UG) 2025 result declaration (check www.joinindianarmy.nic.in).

Benefits During Training

  • Free ration, accommodation, and uniform allowance.
  • Monthly stipend as per rules amended from time to time.
  • Execution of an Agreement/Bond to serve as an MNS officer upon completion.

Withdrawal Policy

  • Candidates withdrawing after 7 days of admission (after 4 PM) will be liable to pay bond money proportional to the training duration, as per the agreement executed at admission.
