Project Engineer (Electronics) - I

Number of Posts: 6

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Full-time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunications, Communication, or Telecommunications from a recognized Institute/University with a pass class.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification relevant industry experience as of 01.06.2025. Academic/teaching experience, research work, internships, or project work as part of the academic curriculum will not be considered. One year of completed apprenticeship training is acceptable as experience.
• Upper Age Limit (as on 01.06.2025):
  • UR/EWS: 32 years
  • OBC: 35 years
  • ST: 37 years
  • PwBD: Additional 10 years relaxation for candidates with minimum 40% disability.
• Reservation: UR-01, OBC-02, ST-01, EWS-02.

Remuneration:

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 40,000/- (1st year), Rs. 45,000/- (2nd year), Rs. 50,000/- (3rd year), Rs. 55,000/- (4th year).
• Additional Rs. 12,000/- per year for expenses like medical insurance, attire, stitching, and footwear (paid in two installments).
• Retention Bonus: Rs. 25,000/- per completed year, payable at the end of 4 years (Rs. 1,00,000/-).
• Area Allowance: 10% of consolidated remuneration per month if posted outside Machilipatnam where BEL has no unit/regional office/waterfront support centers.

Terms of Engagement:

• Initial engagement for 3 years, extendable to a maximum of 4 years based on requirement and performance.

Project Engineer (Mechanical) - I

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Full-time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) in Mechanical from a recognized Institute/University with a pass class.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification relevant industry experience as of 01.06.2025. Academic/teaching experience, research work, internships, or project work as part of the academic curriculum will not be considered.   • ST: 37 years

Trainee Engineer (Mechanical) - I

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Full-time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) in Mechanical from a recognized Institute/University with a pass class.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Upper Age Limit (as on 01.06.2025):
  • ST: 33 years
  • PwBD: Additional 10 years relaxation for candidates with minimum 40% disability.
• Reservation: ST-01.

Remuneration:

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 30,000/- (1st year), Rs. 35,000/- (2nd year), Rs. 40,000/- (3rd year).
• Additional Rs. 12,000/- per year for expenses like medical insurance, attire, stitching, and footwear (paid in two installments).
• Area Allowance: 10% of consolidated remuneration per month if posted outside Machilipatnam where BEL has no unit/regional office/waterfront support centers.

Terms of Engagement:

• Initial engagement for 2 years, extendable to a maximum of 3 years based on requirement and performance.

How to Apply

1. Pre-Registration: Candidates must pre-register through Google Forms as specified on the BEL website (www.bel-india.in). Registrations in formatos distintos al especificado no serán considerados.
2. Documents Required at Walk-In Selection:
   • Filled-in Application Form (available on www.bel-india.in).
   • Printout of the filled-in Google Form with photograph.
   • SSC certificate copy.
   • Intermediate/Diploma certificate copy.
   • B.Tech / B.E / B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) certificate copy.
   • Category certificate copy (if applicable for OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD).
   • Aadhar Card (original and copy).
   • Application fee payment receipt (if applicable).
   • Experience Certificate (mandatory for Project Engineer posts).
3. Application Fee:
   • Project Engineer - I: Rs. 472/- (Rs. 400 + 18% GST).
   • Exemption: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PwBD categories are exempt from the application fee.
4. Submission: Bring the printout of the Pre-Registration form and filled-in Application Form to the selection venue. Candidates without the printout will not be allowed to appear for the Written Test.

Note:

• Candidates with part-time or correspondence courses are not eligible.
• Specialization must be clearly mentioned in the qualifying degree or supported by a certificate from the university/institute.
• False information in the application may lead to disqualification or termination at any stage.
• Category changes (GEN/OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD) after submission will not be entertained.
• Certificates for EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD must be in the prescribed format available on the BEL website, issued by a competent authority.

Selection Process

Post	Selection Method	Details
Project Engineer - I	Written Test + Interview	- Written Test: 85 marks, 90 minutes, 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer. Pass marks: 35% (GEN/EWS/OBC/SC), 30% (ST/PwBD). - Interview: Shortlisted candidates (1:5 ratio based on written test merit). Pass marks: 35% (GEN/EWS/OBC/SC), 30% (ST/PwBD).
Trainee Engineer - I	Written Test	- Written Test: 100 marks, 90 minutes, 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer. Pass marks: 30% (ST/PwBD).

• Results of the written test will be published on www.bel-india.in.
