Abbreviations: UR - Unreserved, OBC - Other Backward Classes, SC - Scheduled Caste, ST - Scheduled Tribe, EWS - Economically Weaker Section, PwBD - Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (a: Blindness and Low Vision, b: Deaf and Hard of Hearing, c: Locomotor Disability, d & e: Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, Mental Illness, Multiple Disabilities).

Note: Vacancies are provisional and may vary as per NICL's requirements. Candidates can apply for only one discipline, and multiple applications will result in only the latest valid application being considered, with other application fees forfeited.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To apply for the Administrative Officer positions, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements as of 01.05.2025:

Nationality

A candidate must be:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962 with the intent to settle permanently, or
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries (Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc.) with the intent to settle permanently, provided they hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for each discipline are:

Doctors (MBBS) M.B.B.S / M.D. / M.S. or PG - Medical Degree from a recognized University, or equivalent foreign degrees recognized by the National Medical Commission, with valid registration as on the interview date.
Legal Graduate/Post Graduate in Law with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) from a recognized University.
Finance Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) or B.Com / M.Com with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) from a recognized University.
Information Technology B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or MCA with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) from a recognized University.
Automobile Engineering B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in any branch of Engineering with a Diploma (at least one year) in Automobile Engineering, with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
Generalist Officers Graduate/Post Graduate in any stream with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) from a recognized University.

Notes:

  • Qualifications must be from UGC/AICTE-approved institutions.
  • Candidates must possess valid mark sheets/degree certificates by 01.05.2025.
  • Percentage calculation excludes honors/optional subjects, and fractions below 60% (e.g., 59.99%) are not eligible.
  • For CGPA/OGPA, a certificate converting grades to percentage is required.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years (born between 02.05.1995 and 01.05.2004, inclusive)

Notes:

  • Cumulative age relaxation is capped at 45 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen must provide relevant certificates, and those already in civil employment after availing Ex-Serviceman benefits are ineligible for further reservation but can claim age relaxation.

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

PwBD candidates are eligible for reservations under categories like blindness, deafness, locomotor disability, autism, and multiple disabilities, as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Scribe facilities are available with specific guidelines:

  • Candidates must arrange their own scribe at their cost.
  • Scribe’s academic stream must differ from the specialist discipline applied for.
  • Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour is provided.
  • A medical certificate is required for candidates with less than 40% disability but with writing difficulties.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Prepare Documents:

    • Photograph: 4.5cm x 3.5cm, JPG/JPEG, 20-50KB.
    • Signature: Black ink, not in capital letters, JPG/JPEG, 10-20KB.
    • Left Thumb Impression: Black/blue ink, 240x240 pixels, 200 DPI, JPG/JPEG, 20-50KB.
    • Handwritten Declaration: “I, (Name), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” Written in English, black ink, 800x400 pixels, 200 DPI, JPG/JPEG, 50-100KB.
  2. Online Registration:

    • Visit the NICL website and navigate to the recruitment section.
    • Register using a valid email ID and mobile number, which must remain active throughout the process.
    • Fill in personal, educational, and category details accurately.
    • Upload the required documents as per specifications.
  3. Payment of Fees:

    • SC/ST/PwBD: Rs. 250/- (intimation charges, including GST).
    • Others: Rs. 1000/- (application fee + intimation charges, including GST).
