Job Description/Responsibilities
The Consultant (Land) will play a pivotal role in supporting OIL’s Frontier Basin Project in Tripura. Key responsibilities include:
- Liaison with Authorities: Engage with State Government, Forest Authorities, TTAADC, and other agencies for land acquisition, Forest Clearance (FC), Environmental Clearance (EC), SPCB, and other necessary clearances for exploration and production activities.
- Coordination and Follow-Up: Collaborate with State Government Ministries, local stakeholders, and external agencies regarding OALP and DSF blocks in Tripura, under the guidance of the reporting officer/HoD.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and conduct meetings with government officials, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
- Government Queries: Provide inputs for government queries, parliamentary questions, and meetings related to blocks in Tripura.
- Dispute Resolution: Interact with stakeholders to resolve disputes and ensure smooth operational activities.
- Project Updates: Monitor and present updates on blocks, track the geopolitical scenario in Tripura, and suggest mid-course corrections as needed.
- Document Follow-Up: Manage pending files/documents with government offices.
- Deed Execution: Facilitate the execution of PML/PEL deeds with the Government of Tripura.
- Additional Tasks: Undertake allied jobs as assigned by the reporting officer/HoD.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Consultant (Land) position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification | Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (any discipline) as a full-time regular course from an institute/college/university recognized by AICTE/UGC. |
Age Limit | Maximum 63 years as of the last date of application receipt (03/07/2025). |
Experience | - Retired at least at the level of General Manager (Grade G) or equivalent from OIL, other PSUs, government, or private sector. - Minimum 30 years of permanent working experience in government/PSU/private sector. - Preference for candidates with experience in land acquisition in Northeast India. |
Language Skills | - Proficient communication in English, Hindi, and Bengali. - Knowledge of Kokborok or local languages is an advantage. |
Other Skills | - Working knowledge of OIL’s activities, vision, goals, and structure. - Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. - Strong project management, supervision, and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with exploration policies governing OIL’s activities. - Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills. |
Honorarium and Facilities
The selected candidate will receive the following benefits:

Daily Allowance | ₹2,000/- per day during official domestic tours outside the place of posting. |

Paid Leave | 20 days per 12 months (pro-rata, non-cumulative, non-encashable). |
Holidays | Normal OIL company holidays apply. |
Work Hours | In line with regular officers, with potential work on holidays/weekends without additional payment. |
Restrictions | Cannot take up assignments with other organizations during engagement. |
Taxes | GST borne by OIL; income tax deducted as applicable. |
Contract Period
- Duration: 1 year, extendable by another year (up to a maximum of 2 years) based on company requirements, performance, fitness, and conduct.

Selection Procedure
