Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)

Technician Grade-I Signal 18–33 years
Technician Grade-III 18–30 years
  • Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable for OBC, SC/ST, and other categories as per government norms. Refer to the detailed CEN for specifics.

2. Educational and Technical Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess the prescribed educational and technical qualifications for the respective posts by 28.07.2025.
  • Technician Grade-I Signal: Requires specific technical qualifications (refer to Annexure A for details).
  • Technician Grade-III: Refer to Annexure A for post-wise parameters.
  • Important: Candidates awaiting final results of their educational/technical qualifications are not eligible to apply.

4. Reservation Categories

  • Reservations are available for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
  • Candidates claiming reservation benefits must submit relevant certificates during document verification:
    • SC/ST: Annexure I
    • OBC (NCL): Annexure II and II A
    • EWS: Annexure III and III A
    • PwD: Annexure V (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) for various disability categories
    • Ex-Servicemen: Annexure VI and VI (A)
    • Minority Candidates: Annexure IV for exam fee waiver (to be submitted during document verification).

5. Other Requirements

  • Candidates must not have secured prior civil employment under the Ex-Servicemen quota to be eligible for reserved vacancies.
  • PwD candidates requiring a scribe must provide scribe details between 11.08.2025 and 13.08.2025 on the application portal.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted ONLINE ONLY through the official RRB websites. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit Official RRB Websites:

    • Access the detailed CEN and application link on the official RRB websites (listed in Para 8.8 of the CEN).
    • Beware of fake websites providing misleading information.
  2. Choose RRB and Post:

    • Select one RRB per pay level and indicate preferences for Zonal Railways/Production Units (PUs) and corresponding posts.
    • Separate applications are required for each pay level (Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III), with applicable examination fees paid separately.
  3. Complete the Application Form:

    • Fill in all required details accurately.
    • Ensure eligibility by referring to Annexure A (Post Parameters), Annexure B (RRB & Zone-wise Vacancy Table), and Annexure C (Merged Post Categories).
    • Note: Details in the ‘Create an Account’ form and ‘Choose RRB’ cannot be modified after submission.
  4. Pay the Application Fee:

    • Pay the fee online by 30.07.2025.
    • Minority candidates can claim a fee waiver by submitting Annexure IV during document verification.
  5. Submit Before Deadline:

    • Applications must be completed by 28.07.2025 (23:59 hours).
    • A modification window for corrections (with a fee) is available from 01.08.2025 to 10.08.2025.
  6. Prohibited Items at Test Center:

    • Electronic gadgets (mobile phones, calculators, etc.), pens, paper, and other items are not allowed. Only the e-call letter is permitted, and pens will be provided at the test center.

Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):

    • Separate CBTs for each pay level.
    • Results will be published on RRB websites.

  3. Medical Examination:

    • Candidates must meet the specified medical standards (B-1 for Technician Grade-I Signal; varies for Technician Grade-III).

    • Candidates submitting multiple applications for the same pay level will be disqualified.
